What is the problem with this website's security certificate?
Unless you have purchased a dedicated security certificate for your website (not needed in the majority of cases), you may see a warning notice when you go to a secure web page on your site, noted by the web prefix "https" instead of "http".

The message you may see is: "There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority."

In Windows Internet Explorer 7, click Continue to this website (not recommended). A majority of the time this issue will be resolved. If not, you may see a red Address Bar and a certificate warning appear, keep clicking on next and you will get a PHISHING FILTER. Click on "YES", close Internet Explorer and re-open.

I don't want to see that message. May I purchase an annual security certificate for my website?
Yes, though in most cases it is not needed. Currently our server lease company is offering certificates from Verisign and GeoTrust. Those certificate vendors and prices are subject to change. Currently annual certificates should cost under $995 per year.
